Sketchin' for Easton

Today was fun and much better than last Wednesday. Got a diverse amount of people to sketch with from older to younger. Went to the Food Court first, then to a bench right outside Max and Erma's. Finally, I went outside after it rained to the water fountains. Some birds, parents and their kids, really good reference. Hope next Monday is just as good.

Still need to practice curvilinear lines though. >_<

  1. i really like the texture to your linework as well as some of the facial expressions you were able to capture. i would maybe try and exaggerate the volume and line of action a little more in a few of these. nice work :]

  2. The gangsta guy with the tennis hat has some nice detail.

  3. I like the drawings of the larger shaped people and the cop. Or is he a target security guard? The children sketches and the one with the folded arms looks very solid. Is that a bird at the very top?

  4. Your line quality has an interesting look to it, I like how you leave gaps between lines and let the shape fill in the holes. Try pushing the poses a little more to get more movement from them.
